Philippa's areas of expertise:
- Employment issues arising for employers and employees, covering every aspect of the employment process, including recruitment, retention, discrimination, disciplinary, grievance, redundancy and tribunals.
- Will drafting, including setting up and maintaining trusts.
- Administering estates including challenges to Wills; making arrangements for tracing unknown beneficiaries and dealing with property sales.
Recent interesting case:
"The head of a family died without leaving a Will. The challenge was to administer the estate in a way that was fair and seen to be fair, according to the law. Complications arose, as there were a number of illegitimate family members who either did not know of each other's existence or who did not want to communicate with each other."
