CBG secures successful planning appeal for Long Term Land Limited

CBG is delighted to share a success for our client, Long Term Land Limited, in a recent planning appeal.

Following a hearing on 4–5 March 2026, the Inspector allowed the appeal and granted outline planning permission for the development of up to 126 homes at land on Cambridge Road, Stretham.

This was an appeal under section 78 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 against the refusal of East Cambridgeshire District Council.

This was a fantastic result for the client, and a good example of the value of a carefully prepared case by the team with excellent advocacy at the appeal.

The client sends his thanks to everyone involved in the process including Andrew Tabachnik KC, 39 Essex Chambers, Chris Frost, Stephen Birrell and Toby McCulloch at Future Planning and Development, James Stacey and Jamie Roberts of Tetlow King, Andy Cook of Pegasus and the CBG team led by Mark Brassey and Tom Barton.
