Our Community and Social Responsibility Policy

Our Mission

We fully recognise our responsibilities as an employer, a business having an impact on its environment, and a member of the local community in which we operate. We take these responsibilities seriously and they underpin how we run our business.

Every member of the firm plays a valuable role in our endeavours to promote these values and we cannot do this without the support of all staff.

Our Charities

At CBG we are passionate about supporting charitable and community organisations. We demonstrate this support through fundraising and participating in charitable events – getting involved in both local and national initiatives. Whether it is advising, cycling, or running, we commit our time and energy to raising money for charitable causes.

We are actively involved in raising funds for several local and national charities.  We have a balanced portfolio of charitable activities ranging from donations to raising money via both internal and external events.

Who we support:

The Sutton Trust

The Sutton Trust aims to improve social mobility through education.

CBG have donated a substantial sum towards the Trust’s causes to combat educational inequality and prevent the waste of talent.

East End Trade Guild (EETG)

The EETG is an alliance of 350 small independent business which provides support and network for its members. We have in the last few years supported the Rent Check initiative and other sponsorships as well as regular attendance at their events.

Jewish Care Home

Each year we sponsor this charity by taking an advert in their brochure and other charitable events on an ad hoc basis.

St Martin in the Field

Every year, CBG sponsors a local homeless charity, St Martin in the Field, to provide a hot meal, a shower and clean clothes for over 100 vulnerable members during the festive year.

We are dedicated to promoting a proactive approach to caring for the environment recognising the many ways our activities have an impact.

We recognise the importance of environmental issues both locally, nationally and globally. The firm attempts to reduce its impact on the environment by:

  • Continually seeking to improve our environmental performance.
  • Reducing the volume of waste produced and being ‘paper light’ as much as possible.
  • Encouraging recycling throughout the firm.
  • Reducing the firm's energy consumption by encouraging the intelligent use of all electrical equipment.
  • Complying with current legislation and best practice.
  • Increasing staff awareness of environmental issues.
  • Promoting other green initiatives.
